Easter dining in Santa Cruz & nearby: Restaurants with special menus, part 2

Dining out on Easter is a great way to celebrate with friends or family or both, and Santa Cruz has many restaurants offering special menus this Sunday. See Part 1 for more restaurants in the Santa Cruz area and one in Half Moon Bay, and see below for the second and final group of restaurants I am highlighting. Happy Easter!

Bonny Doon Vineyard’s Cellar Door Restaurant

Cellar Door in Westside Santa Cruz offers a prix fixe Easter dinner for $40. The three-course dinner features rabbit and eggs and also comes with three tastes of suggested wines. Cellar Door’s a la carte menu will also be available on Sunday. Both menus are available from 5:30-9pm, the restaurant’s normal Sunday hours. Call (831) 425-6771 for reservations.

Hoffman’s

Hoffman’s, located in downtown Santa Cruz, is serving Easter Brunch from 8am-2pm and Easter Dinner from 5-9pm. The restaurant is featuring its regular menus plus Easter specials during both meals. Also available are Easter goodies to go including cake, scones, cookies, hot cross buns, and four kinds of quiche. Call (831) 420-0135 for reservations.

Chaminade

The Chaminade offers its annual Easter Brunch Buffet from 9am-3pm; the price is $49.95 (adults), $17.95 (kids 6-12), and free for kids under 6. Selections include slow roasted prime rib, honey ham with Jack Daniels glaze, a seafood bar with Dungeness crab legs, omelets made to order, and an extravagant array of desserts. There will be Easter egg hunts for the kids at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, and 2:30pm, and balloon artists. Clouds

Downtown Santa Cruz restaurant Clouds recently started serving Sunday brunch every week. For Easter, it will serve its regular menu (which features three varieties of eggs benedict, waffles, omelets, and more) plus a few Easter specials such as a fourth benedict and at least one extra waffle or omelet (the menu was still being finalized at press time). Clouds is also offering live music during Easter brunch and every Sunday brunch. Call (831) 429-2000 for reservations.
