It\u2019s Day Nine of Santa Cruz Restaurant Examiner\/Santa Cruz Foodie\u2019s \u201c12 Days of Christmas Giveaway.\u201d Today\u2019s prize is a gift certificate good for brunch for 2 at the Chaminade Resort & Spa<\/a> (for regular brunch, not Christmas brunch). If you\u2019re going out to eat on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, it\u2019s time to make your reservations if you haven\u2019t already. I\u2019ll have more information on restaurant offerings in the next couple days; below is information for the Chaminade\u2019s two restaurants. I attended a Farm to Table dinner at Chaminade earlier this year, and greatly enjoyed Chef Beverlie Terra\u2019s delicious creations, which utilized ingredients from local farms.<\/p>\n

On Christmas Eve, the Sunset Restaurant is open for breakfast (7 a.m. \u2013 11 a.m.) and dinner (5 p.m. \u2013 9 p.m.). Dinner features the Chaminade\u2019s famous buffet, with highlights such as cheese, fresh fruit and seafood displays, plus items like Castroville artichokes, prime rib, pancetta-wrapped pork loin, and roast turkey breast. The price is $45.95 for adults, $17.95 for children 6-12 years old, and free for children under the age of 6. Linwood\u2019s Restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner (11 a.m. \u2013 11 p.m.).<\/p>\n

On Christmas Day, the Sunset Restaurant is open for a special holiday dinner (12 p.m. \u2013 6 p.m.) with a fabulous buffet. It\u2019s $47.95 for adults, $16.95 for children 6-12 years old, and free for children under the age of 6. The menu is similar to Christmas Eve; one of the many entrees is lasagna with pumpkin ricotta b\u00e9chamel. Also, Linwood\u2019s Restaurant is open for dinner (7 \u2013 11 p.m.).<\/p>\n
