Dessert from a Dishcrawl in San Jose<\/p><\/div>\n

San Jose has been having Dishcrawls for a while now, and finally Santa Cruz is getting its very own! The first one is Wednesday, January 23 beginning at 7 p.m. It costs $45; buy tickets online<\/a>. See end of article for a chance to win a $20 discount on the January 23 event!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an overview: Dishcrawl, as the company proclaims, is similar to a pub crawl but it\u2019s focused on food instead of drinks (although you\u2019re welcome to consume drinks as well). You pay one price for the event, and then get to go on a \u201cculinary tour\u201d and explore four restaurants in one evening, all within walking distance from each other. The names of the restaurants are kept a secret; ticket-holders are emailed this information 48 hours prior to the event.<\/p>\n

Wes Katayama is the Santa Cruz Dishcrawl<\/a> Ambassador. Dishcrawl is located in many cities across the country, plus Canada. Each city has an ambassador who takes charge of the events and enjoys connecting local foodies with interesting restaurants. Dishcrawl has just arrived in Santa Cruz, and Katayama is excited to lead folks on these journeys. \u201cMy goal, like the goal of Dishcrawl, is to ultimately strengthen the community bond through food,” shares Katayama. \u201cFood is such an amazing tool for bringing people together, and with these events we hope to bring locals together, and tighten their relationship with the local restaurants and chefs around them.\u201d Feel free to email the Ambassador at wesk@dishcrawl.com<\/a> with any questions.
