The 2013 Capitola Art and Wine Festival<\/p><\/div>\n

The 2013 Capitola Art and Wine Festival, offering a variety of food from many restaurants plus wine, music, and art, takes place on Saturday Sept 14 and Sunday September 15 from 10am-6pm. The event, held at The Esplanade in Capitola Village, has free admission and includes live entertainment such as musicians and dancers. Visit event site<\/a> to view entertainment schedule and information on parking and free shuttles from the Capitola Mall.<\/p>\n

More than 150 artists will be displaying juried art including ceramics, glass, metal art, and mixed media. The 30th annual festival features wine from 22 Santa Cruz area wineries (see list below) and food from many venues. Wine tasting requires purchase of festival glass and tasting tokens. The glass costs $8 and tokens cost $1; each wine tasting requires 2-4 tokens. There will be food booths with items available for purchase from several local restaurants including Caf\u00e9 Carlos, Caf\u00e9 Cruz, Falafel of Santa Cruz, India Gourmet, Souza\u2019s Ice Cream, and Zameen.<\/p>\n

The festival, hosted by the Capitola-Soquel Chamber of Commerce, features a children\u2019s area with ongoing craft projects. No pets are allowed at the event. A portion of festival proceeds will be donated to community groups including the Soquel High School girls\u2019 water polo team and the Pacific Collegiate Fusion Dance Team.<\/p>\n
